# Brevo Integration

Connect **Brevo** to Review Collect to automatically sync your customers' ratings and feedback to your Brevo contacts — and build targeted campaigns based on their satisfaction.

## Generate your Brevo API key

1. Log in to your **Brevo** account at [app.brevo.com](https://app.brevo.com)
2. Click your **profile name** (top right corner), then select **Profile and account settings**

3. In the left menu, go to **SMTP & API**

4. Open the **API Keys** tab, then click **Generate a new API key**

5. Give it a name (e.g. `Review Collect`) and click **Generate**

6. **Copy the key immediately** — it will only be shown once

## Connect Brevo to Review Collect

1. Open the [**Review Routing**](https://app.review-collect.com/home/review-routing/routing-rules) page, **Post-Review Actions** tab
2. On the **Sync Brevo Contacts** card, click **Connect to Brevo** and paste your API key
3. We automatically create 3 contact attributes in your Brevo account: `REVIEW_RATING`, `REVIEW_FEEDBACK`, `REVIEW_DATE`
4. Then turn on **Sync ratings and comments with profiles** and click **Save changes**

## What gets synced

Every time a customer leaves a review, their Brevo contact is **created or updated** with:

* their rating (`REVIEW_RATING`) — 1 to 5 stars
* their written feedback (`REVIEW_FEEDBACK`)
* the review date (`REVIEW_DATE`)

You can then build **Brevo segments** based on these attributes to target your campaigns — *for example: happy customers to engage, detractors needing a follow-up.*

## Good to know

* By default, Brevo **hides newly created attributes** on contact pages: add them to your contact view to see them
* **Segments must be created manually** in Brevo (segment creation via API isn't allowed)
* Syncing is **not retroactive**: only reviews received after activation are sent
* To sync your previous reviews, reach out to **your account manager**
